Beneficiary Rural Church

Abamkrom Church Of Christ

Abamkrom Church of Christ is located in a community called Abamkrom in the Upper West Akim District of the Eastern region.

The church was established by Asamankese Central Church of Christ in the year 2014 and started with a membership of six (6).

Currently, the church has an average membership of about thirteen (13), of which five (5) are adults, two (2) are teenagers, one (1) is aged, and about five (5) are children.

The church does not have a permanent place of worship. We fellowship in a classroom.

The weekly giving of the church on Sundays is around GHC60 cedis.

Most of the youth have left for the cities. This migration of the youth to the cities is affecting the growth of the church deeply.

My name is Mark Della Gbeve, aged 30, married with two (2) children and I am the preacher for Abamkrom Church of Christ since 2016.

The financial position of the church is very weak and therefore they are unable to support the preacher financially.  This is why I applied for support from RGM.

I have been on Rescue Ghana Mission (RGM) support for over three (3) years now. I have been receiving monthly top-up allowance which supports me as I lead the church in such a poor and deprived community.

I appreciate the support I receive from RGM on monthly basis.

It has been helpful to me because without their support things would have been very difficult for me and my family, I may not have continued to work as a preacher by now.

I will like to thank the managers of Rescue Ghana Mission for such a good initiative and more especially to those who kind heatedly donate in cash and kind to support rural preachers like me.

God bless you.
