Beneficiary Rural Church

Obosomase Church of Christ

My name is Evans Awuku, and I am forty-three (43) years of age. I am the preacher of the Obosomase Church of Christ and I am married with three (3) children.

Obosomase is located in the Akuapem North District, in the Eastern Region of Ghana

The church was established by the Aburi congregation in 2013.

The Church was established by the Aburi church of Christ on the 24th day of November 2013. It was started with five (5) members, but by the grace of God, our current membership now is thirty-seven (37), with twenty-two (22) adults and fifteen (15) being children.

It is located on the right side of the Accra- Mamfe road at Enkaakyi junction about a minute drive from the main road.

The church is currently worshipping in someone’s uncompleted building.

our weekly given is around Ghs. 100.00.

Most of the youth have left for the cities in search of jobs and this is affecting the growth of the Church.

I am doing my best in the midst of the challenges in this poor community.

Also, due to our low financial position, the Church is unable to support me as it should.

I applied to Rescue Ghana Mission and they accepted to support me after doing some background checks on my condition.

I have been receiving financial support from Rescue Ghana Mission since July 2016.

RGM has helped me in paying my children’s’ school fees and it has also helped me in completing Bible school and awaiting to graduate on the 18th of April 2020.

If not for this support, I don’t think I will be able to complete the Bible school.

I wish to express my gratitude to God, also to the management of RGM and to all those who contribute financially to RGM.

I am appealing to all members of the Church of Christ and urban congregations to come on board to support this initiative by the Rescue Ghana Mission (RGM)

There are more rural Preachers who need help but unfortunately, RGM cannot support them. Once again may God bless you for your kindness.
